Ditch the Corporate Burnout and Fall in Love with Mondays Again

It’s time to switch off autopilot and navigate your career (and life) with intention.

Discover Your True Path to Fulfillment and Joy

You possess a unique blueprint; an intricate design of gifts and desires that reveals your true essence and the path you’re meant to walk. The only problem is the working world as we’ve come to accept it doesn’t allow you the room to embrace your authentic self and align your career with your deepest purpose.

But you don’t have to accept the status quo. You don’t have to move through your career on autopilot, unfulfilled by the traditional definitions of success and ambition.

With a little self-discovery, you can unlock your true potential and find unparalleled career fulfillment and joy in your professional life.

My approach to leadership coaching blends traditional coaching models with innovative self-assessments using human design and astrology to support the reflection needed to unlearn the “shoulds” and approach career development through a personal lens. Whether you’re seeking a career transition or striving for greater success and joy in your current role, you’ve come to the right place.

The future you’ve always dreamed of starts here.

Your Career Is More Than
Just a Job

After all, you should feel connected to the role that encompasses the majority of your waking life.

You deserve to be fulfilled by and engaged with your work. To wake up excited to face the day with a deep-seated sense of purpose. To embrace a career that adds to your life and enhances the joy you feel outside of the office.

That shift is possible. I know because I’ve experienced it myself.

The first step is to bring down the walls of all the boxes you’ve put yourself in. Those that separate the roles of mother, father, partner and human being from the manager, leader or team member. To honour all facets of your life as one.

Because despite how often you hear about the importance of work-life balance, the truth is, there’s nothing to balance. Life is everything, work is only one component of it.

In order to make the big shifts you crave, set firm boundaries and embrace professional joy, you need to take stock of your entire life, not just your “work life.” My approach to leadership coaching is centred around deep self-awareness and radical self-acceptance, helping you embrace a career you love to enhance the life you have.

What Is Leadership Coaching?

Leadership coaching is about creating a safe space for you to come to your own conclusions about your life, career, success, happiness and more.

My job isn’t to tell you what to do or how to do it, but to help you think beyond your conditioning to question what is right for you. To step into your power and trust you know the right path forward.

Think of coaching as the key to unlocking your full and unique potential.

As a trained coach, I’ll work alongside you to help you turn off autopilot and tune into your inner wisdom, speak up for yourself, and set and achieve goals that truly matter to you.

Together in partnership, we’ll explore how you can become a better leader (both in the office and at home), leading with intention and leaning into the skills needed to create the life and career you’ve always dreamed of. And with my encouragement, you’ll feel empowered to pave a path forward that feels perfectly aligned.

Suzanne was a great coach during my year-long sabbatical from (and transition back to) my core global business development/leadership profession! I find Suzanne’s coaching style to be lively and cheerful, with deep listening and insightful questioning, and full of positive energy. In Suzanne’s coaching sessions, I got the space (and gentle prodding) I needed for reflection and introspection, which enabled career-life-location decisions, aligned to my core needs and values. I’d definitely recommend Suzanne as a coaching partner, especially for leaders/executives.

I had the pleasure of partnering with Suzanne on a leadership development and coaching project for a mid-sized insurance client. Working with Suzanne is a breeze! She is thoughtful, client-focused and professional, and brings the perfect balance of experience and intuition. Under Suzanne’s coaching, I watched our client grow, challenging their assumptions and stepping into their highest potential of leadership, embracing actions critical to organizational alignment and growth. Suzanne digs into the heart of client resistance, compassionately pushing people to challenge assumptions, work through limitations and leverage strengths. I would happily partner with Suzanne on a project in the future.

Frequently Asked Questions

I may not be a mind reader, but I have the answers to the questions you’ve been looking for.

What is Coaching?
The International Coaching Federation defines coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential”. More specifically, working with a trained coach helps individuals deepen their self-awareness, set goals for themselves, and proactively build skills. Regardless of the specific reasons people hire a coach, the process itself helps individuals to grow both professionally and personally.

Here are some key distinctions between coaching and other consulting professions:

  • Coaching focuses on the present and future, not the past.
  • The relationship between coach and client is a co-creative partnership, whereas many other helping professions (i.e. therapy, consulting, mentoring, etc.) are hierarchical in nature.
What should I expect from coaching?
Coaching sessions are tailored to the individual’s specific goals and needs. In a typical coaching session, the coach engages in one-on-one conversations with the client, providing a safe and confidential space to explore challenges, reflect on experiences, and set goals. The coach may ask thought-provoking questions, offer insights, provide feedback, and offer guidance and tools to support the client’s growth and development. The sessions may also involve action planning, progress review, and accountability to ensure the client stays on track toward their goals.
What are the benefits of receiving coaching as a client? What are the benefits to my organization?

Coaching offers numerous benefits for individuals and organizations, including:

  • Enhanced self-awareness: Coaching helps clients better understand their strengths, weaknesses, and leadership style.
  • Improved decision-making: Coaches assist in developing critical thinking skills and strategic decision-making abilities.
  • Increased confidence and resilience: Coaching builds client confidence, resilience, and the ability to navigate complex situations.
  • Enhanced communication and interpersonal skills: Coaches help clients improve their communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
  • Effective goal-setting and accountability: Coaches support clients in setting meaningful goals and provide accountability to ensure progress.
  • Leadership development: Coaching facilitates the development of key leadership competencies and promotes continuous growth.
  • Succession planning: Coaching aids in identifying and preparing future leaders within the organization.

How long does coaching usually last?
The duration of a coaching relationship can vary depending on the individual’s needs, goals, and the complexity of the challenges they wish to address. Coaching engagements may range from a few months to a year or more. Typically, coaching sessions occur on a regular basis, such as biweekly or monthly, to ensure sustained progress and support throughout the coaching journey.
Why is Mentorship listed separately from Coaching? How does Coaching differ from Consulting?

Coaching, mentoring, and consulting are distinct but complementary approaches. While coaching focuses on empowering individuals to identify their own solutions, mentoring involves more experienced guiding and advice sharing based on their own expertise and experience. Consulting, on the other hand, typically involves an external expert providing recommendations and solutions for specific organizational challenges. Coaching emphasizes self-discovery, personal growth, and skill development while mentoring and consulting provide knowledge, expertise, and guidance from an external perspective.

How do I choose the best coach for me?

Selecting the right coach is crucial for a successful coaching experience. Consider the following factors when choosing a coach:

  • Qualifications and experience: Ensure the coach has appropriate credentials, training, and relevant experience in coaching.
  • Alignment of values and coaching approach: Look for a coach whose values and coaching philosophy align with your own to ensure a good fit.
  • Specialization: Assess whether the coach has expertise in your industry or specific challenges you wish to address.
  • Rapport and trust: Establish a connection with the coach and assess whether you feel comfortable sharing openly and receiving feedback from them.
  • References and testimonials: Request references or read testimonials to gain insights into the coach’s previous clients’ experiences and outcomes.
